What position in Rugby would someone with these stats most likely play? He’s 6’2, 215, Quarterback build (he’s been a high school quarterback for the last couple of years). He’s pretty fast, really strong (he’s hard to sack), and has good hands.

Thanks!

I’ve been playing rugby for the past 7 years I would recommend going out for flanker or scrumhalf and after getting a couple years experience possibly 8 man.. but I would have him start of in the pack or the forwards because of his size and flanker if he’s fast and can tackle.

Well I think the guy have to play scrumhalf because of his quarterback ability. but he can play either wing or flank

Scrumhalf, inside wing. Most guys who switch from American football to rugby do so because they have gotten bored by the limited strategical thinking required or because they’ve moved to a country where it’s not possible to play American football and they see rugby as the closest alternative.I’ve never heard one say they would go back if they could. He will be welcomed in any club.

At 215, he’s probably not got the acceleration for scrum half. But if he can move and is strong, either center or back row would be good options.
