Are females not built to play sports like American football and rugby?

Or do you think that they could play just as well as boys IF there was an all female team? When I say built I mean genetically manufactured, their physique.

They cannot compete with most males due to being genetically smaller. They can play and compete with other girls though. On of my friends sister played rugby in college. Though I would not have pissed her off, I don’t think she could have competed with men.

No, they are not built to have the strength

especially upper body strength, regarding the manipulation of other objects

I think females are just as capable as men when it comes to ANYTHING. It shouldn’t matter what sex you are, I think anyone can be a great sportsmen / sportswoman. I mean, there are professional female footballers. Why is it that society has been brainswashed into believing males are better at sports and football then females? If you put your heart into it, you can achieve anything…no matter what sex, race, religion, political opinion. marital status, age etc you are. That is what people must realise.

I would think so. I’ve played tackle football with guys before and they treated me like a guy so they threw some hard tackles at me so yeah I say girls are capable of doing sports like that.

physically, most women are not built to, unless you consider butch women or course.

our bodies are not as strong as men’s and the game would not be as exciting if it wasn’t as violent.

have anyone seen rugby players? they are big and muscular. women playing rugby would make it look like soccer,

Who cares? Grown men chasing balls, ugh. A completely pointless waste of energy.

    Probably not.

Maybe female professionals could play with other professional females, but against a professional male it’s almost dangerous o_O

Professional males have frames, height and muscular bodies that women don’t have.

Men and women are built differently, both physically and mentally despite what some people want to believe.

If they were identical then there would be no need to have separate teams for each gender.

There were all-female rugby and wrestling teams at my high school (not football), and the girls I knew on them could easily have bested a few of the guys in our class if they wanted to.

Depends on how good the all-male team this all-female team was playing is. . . someone like the current Detroit Lions, or one of this year’s Superbowl-bound teams? That could be a factor.

I think that, at least with most women, the whole body-strength divide could be an issue. Men are generally recognized to have more upper-body strength capabilities, whereas women might have more lower-body strength capabilities. Trying to put those head-to-head would be mixing playing styles a bit much, if you ask me. Sounds like a million-point game if you ask me, since neither defense would probably do much good.

What I think might be more useful would be mixed-gender teams. Men can play the positions they’d be best at, and women can play the positions they’d be best at. Everyone wins, and it’s not some stupid gender wars battle.
